Job description

Job Summary:

• Responsible for meeting customer needs by setting up and operating machines that cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into parts used in assembly.
• Assist with process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, maintaining flexibility, keeping a clean work environment, and suggesting improvements.
• Move materials between work centers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Machines/Tools:

Plasma tanks, brake presses, drill presses, saws, manual lathes, Bridgeport, Whitney, iron worker, overhead hoists, forklift trucks, computer, hand tools, power tools, measuring devices (micrometers, T-squares).

Safety Equipment:

Safety glasses, safety shoes with metatarsal guards, ear plugs, gloves, tinted face shield.

Environment:

Heavy industrial setting with exposure to grease, oil, heat, humidity, occasionally cramped and wet conditions.

Job Requirements:

1. Basic math skills for machine setup and operation.
2. Ability to manually move up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs. using overhead hoists.
3. Ability to read specifications, blueprints, and perform basic computer data entry.
4. Good visual coordination for moving products and materials.
5. Ability to stand and work on concrete for extended periods.
6. Team player with the ability to work with others and meet company goals.
7. Willingness to learn multiple machine operations and rotate jobs.
8. Work efficiently and safely, including wearing PPE and communicating hazards.
9. Work overtime as needed to meet customer demands.

Additional Job Information:

• Wage: $17.00 to $28.00/hour
• Hourly, bi-weekly pay schedule.
• Schedule: Four 10-hour days, M-F, with potential overtime on 5th day and Saturdays.
• Location: 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal MN 56055.
• Travel: Minimal or none.
