Training will occur on 1st shift (5am - 3:20pm Mon-Thur.) for up to 2 weeks.

Duties may include:
  1. Assemble, measure, weigh, mark, label, count, blend, track, record, inspect, package, and palletize various products or materials.
  2. Set up and use various hand and power tools to finish edges, remove flash, clear holes, saw, sand, grind, blast clean or trim molded metal or plastic parts.
  3. Use hand tools to clean, paste and assemble sand cores.
  4. Rotate to operate numerous machines to fabricate products ranging from simple to elaborate.
  5. Set up and dismantle simple to complex machine fabricating equipment according to instructions, including the flow of lubricants, pressure, and depth of stroke, and installing, positioning, and aligning molds/dies using measuring tools such as rules, micrometers, gauges, feelers, and hand tools.
  6. Assist with or perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, or cleaning.
  7. May operate a forklift to move and store products and load and unload trucks.
  8. Enter information and interact with computer software and documents.
  9. Regulate furnace/metal temperature; stirring, fluxing, and skimming off dross.
  10. Inspect for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications.
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  12. Monitor for unsatisfactory quality or unusual operating conditions and alert the appropriate Supervisor.
  13. Instruct others on work instructions and specific techniques.
  14. Responsible for quality of work and resolving unusual operating conditions.
  15. Willing to modify work schedule and duties as needed.
  16. May require successful completion of specific education, training, or certifications.
Minimum Education:

Reading and understanding English language work instructions and some computer use

Preferred Education:

Some trade school or equivalent

Minimum Skills/Experience:

Effective computer experience, independent decision-making, and effective self-management. One or more years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

One to three or more years of relevant experience. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, proven machine operations, effective computer use, basic math skills, and self-management.

Functional Requirements:

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, work in hot/humid environments, climb ladders, wear PPE, and perform physical tasks as described.
