Job summary

Milliken & Company Highland Plant is seeking a Slitter Operator to process greige fabric on a slitter machine and prepare rolls for shipment. You will inspect fabric, verify width and length, document production results, and work 4pm–12am while collaborating with the Greige Inspection and quality teams.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient production. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, adhering to procedures, and keeping a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety rules and attend required safety training.
• Operate slitting and inspection equipment per established procedures.
• Verify piece numbers and match against production orders.
• Prepare fabric for slitting and verify width and roll length.
• Visually inspect fabric for defects and report issues to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate slitting and inspection equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Review work orders and customer specs to ensure correct fabric processing.
• Verify fabric width, roll length, and other product specs.
• Label, package, and prepare finished rolls for transfer to shipping.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and communicate with shifts.
