Job summary

Centric Brands Inc. in New York is seeking a Fabric Manager to lead seasonal fabric research, development, and sourcing for knits and sweaters.

This role collaborates with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, and Production to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of high-quality fabrics that reflect the brand’s vision. You will conduct fabric research, identify trends, source inputs with Mills and overseas offices, manage development from concept to sample, and maintain PLM records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in fabric research, development, or sourcing within fashion/retail, with knit/sweater focus.
• Extensive knowledge of fabric construction, fibers, yarns, dyeing, finishing, and garment construction.
• Experience with PLM software; proficiency in Excel and Illustrator.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; cross-functional collaboration.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive problem solver in a fast-paced environment.
