Job summary

Hunter Douglas is seeking a Fabric Production Associate in Augusta, GA to prepare and inspect fabrics for production. You will verify fabrics, measure widths and lengths, align patterns, and ensure materials are ready for the tunnel machine while following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area.

The role requires basic fabric knowledge, tape measure use, and attention to detail. You will stand for extended periods, lift fabrics, and contribute to a team-focused, safety-driven

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of fabrics and textile materials.
  • Ability to use a tape measure accurately.
  • Comfortable using hand tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail with accuracy in measurements and inspections.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Successfully pass a color vision test.
  • Safety-conscious and adheres to workplace rules.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and communicates clearly with supervisors and coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Receive soft fabric shades from Flat Prep and verify the fabric and lining.
  • Measure fabric width and length and check against work tickets.
  • Inspect patterns for proper alignment and consistency.
  • Remove staples and pins from fabrics.
  • Check fabrics returning from the tunnel machine for looseness, puckering, or defects.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized, following all safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production.

Position Overview

The Fabric Production Associate prepares and inspect fabrics for production by checking quality, measuring dimensions, aligning patterns, and ensuring materials are ready for processing in the tunnel machine, while following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
