Job summary

Hunter Douglas, a world–leading window coverings manufacturer, seeks a Trim and Square associate for Carole Fabrics in Augusta, GA. You will trim fabric to exact dimensions, inspect hems for straightness, and follow work tickets for shade type and measurements.

Requirements include a high school diploma, ability to read a tape measure, basic fabric knowledge, and comfort with production equipment. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Trim and Square position plays a key role in the production process by receiving joined fabric and accurately trimming it to specific measurements.

What you\'ll do

  • Receive joined fabric from joiners and inspect for straight hems and proper pattern alignment.
  • Read work tickets carefully to determine shade type and required measurements.
  • Trim fabric accurately to specified dimensions.
  • Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE; report any unsafe conditions or defective equipment.
  • Use tools like staple guns and saws safely; wear safety glasses when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; participate in daily housekeeping.
  • Unplug irons, drills, and return tools to designated spots at the end of each shift.
  • Report all near misses, accidents, or injuries immediately to your supervisor.
