Job summary

Vanguard Furniture Co Inc in Conover, NC is seeking a Fabric Puller to supply fabric to automated cutting machines and manage inventory. You will weigh, tag, and deliver fabrics, ensure correct bin locations, and coordinate with cutters and sewing teams.

The role requires attention to detail, English reading skills, and the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. This on-site position offers 8+ hour shifts and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• English required for reading tickets and notes.
• Must recognize quality problems with fabrics and leather.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Pull fabric for orders and deliver to automated machines.
• Scan fabric back in after cutting and place in correct location.
• Weigh fabric back from cutting machines and store in correct bin location.
• Weigh fabric from outsource teams and from operators.
• Cycle count fabric bins to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Pull fabric for swatch, scan out fabric, tag for processing.
• Move cut covers to sewing department and place in designated area.
• Roll fabrics for yardage and for other teams as needed.
• Notify supervisors of quality or production problems.
• Process production tickets and deliver tickets and fabrics to cutters.
• Conduct daily inventory counts and keep workstation neat and safe.
• Wear PPE as required and report unsafe conditions.
