Job summary

Hunter Douglas is seeking a Cut Order Cutter for Carole Fabrics in Augusta, GA to cut fabric orders to customer specifications with precision. You will operate cutting machines, inspect fabrics for defects, and ensure each order is fulfilled accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic knowledge of fabrics, and comfort using production equipment and hand tools. You will stand for long periods and handle lifting as part of daily duties, with competitive benefits

Responsibilities

• Operate cutting machines to cut fabric to specified lengths.
• Check orders for any special instructions from customers.
• Inspect fabrics for defects and flaws.
• Ensure correct counts of fabric bolts, wrap ends, and create bolt tags after each order.
• Follow safety rules, report unsafe practices, and maintain floor safety.
• Use production equipment and hand tools; lift fabrics with proper technique.
• Keep work area neat and clean; dispose of trash; participate in daily housekeeping.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

As a Cut Order Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting fabric orders to customer specifications with precision and attention to detail. This role requires operating cutting machines, inspecting fabrics for defects, and ensuring each order is fulfilled accurately and on time.

• Follow all safety rules and regulations, report unsafe practices, and maintain floor safety discipline.
• Use production equipment, hand tools, and ensure proper technique for lifting and handling fabrics.
• Keep your work area neat and clean, dispose of trash properly, and participate in daily housekeeping activities.
• All other duties as assigned
