Job summary

CDW is seeking a Consulting Data Architect in the United States to design and deliver Microsoft Fabric architectures, Power BI, and Azure AI-driven solutions across geographies. You will lead AI-enabled solution patterns, prototypes, and governance, ensuring production-ready outcomes.

The role requires extensive data engineering, Generative AI expertise, and the ability to guide multi-team engagements while maintaining client relationships and business-case content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 7+ years in IT infrastructure or 11+ with cross-brand projects.
• Hands-on experience designing Microsoft Fabric solutions, including data engineering and Power BI.
• Practical expertise in Generative AI (Azure OpenAI, Copilot, embedding pipelines).
• Strong data engineering skills: SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark, ELT, CI/CD, and platform optimization.
• Ability to define data governance, security, and responsible AI controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Microsoft Fabric architectures with OneLake, Power BI, and Azure AI.
• Lead development of AI-enabled solution patterns, including retrieval-augmented generation.
• Build proofs of concept, accelerators, and reference architectures for production readiness.
• Lead project teams, directing coworker and client teams in solution design and development.
• Provide leadership in creating business cases, financial justification and solution content for customer ready deliverables.
• Aggregate oversight of technical solutions across multiple projects to ensure synergy in our approach and broad visibility to the solutions delivery team.
• Proactively addresses or escalates any budget issues that are identified during the project.
• Quality Assurance for SOW requests that meet triggers for size, cross brand, and complexity.
• Maintain client relationships as a trusted Technical Advisor and communicate effectively between departments and clients.
