Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a welding certificate or diploma. Demonstrated welding ability is required; overtime may be required. Pay is $22.00 per hour with general benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine welding operations on standard and near-standard assemblies, and assist other operators as needed.
  • Operate equipment and machinery to produce parts.
  • Interpret work orders, drawings, and Kanban cards.
  • Maintain tools and materials to ensure continuous operation.
  • Inspect final components against specifications.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new operators and participate in TPM and 5S+ activities.
  • Handle scrap disposal and ensure safe work practices.

Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB Welder - 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The FAB Welder will perform routine welding operations of a repetitive and non-repetitive nature on standard and near-standard assemblies. Assist other operators in their work as directed/required.

In this function you will:
  • Perform welding from manufacturing information, bills of material, written and/or oral instructions.
  • Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts.
  • Interpret work orders including: written oral, Kanban cards, and drawings.
  • Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation.
  • Inspect final component against work specifications.
  • Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new operators.
  • Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily.
  • Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience reading calipers and tape measures/scales
  • Previous experience reading blueprints
  • Previous experience in Fabrication
Position Criteria:
  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Proven history of safe work habits
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
