Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an engineer to own and operate the eSPEC application, our centralized repository of process, limit, recipe, overlay and defect specifications. You will manage the full software life cycle in a 24×7 fab environment.

You'll collaborate with fab engineering, MES teams, and our Korean counterparts to keep data models in sync, drive migrations and upgrades, and continuously improve performance while preserving reliability for high-volume production.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in CS/CE or related field.
• 5+ years of software or system engineering experience.
• Strong programming in C# or Java.
• Relational databases and SQL experience (MS-SQL/Oracle).
• Experience in Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
• Preferred: Git/SVN, Docker, Kubernetes, Vue.js; MES exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own the full application life-cycle, design new features, patch, and manage releases for the application and its databases.
• Keep application and database schemas standardized with the Korean counterpart team across sites.
• Drive production release processes and monitor performance to meet fab requirements.
• Lead migrations and upgrades with planning, execution, and validation.
• Provide 24×7 support to ensure uninterrupted factory operation.
