Job summary

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is looking for a Fab Mechanic - Trim Cut associate to join our team. This role fabricates metal tubing, both rigid and flexible, by cutting, grinding, forming, deburring, cleaning, swaging, and polishing according to specifications for hydraulic, pneumatic, waste and exhaust installations.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials, reading blueprints, setting up equipment, and ensuring dimensional and cosmetic requirements are met.

Qualifications

  • Education: high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 0–3 months of related experience or training.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional checks on materials and components.
  • Inspect and test parts to conformance with blueprints and specs.
  • Maintain accurate fixtures (mylar).
  • Polish and prepare assemblies to cosmetic and dimensional standards.
  • Set up and operate abrasive, squaring, deburring equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and process sheets.
  • Be punctual and reliable in attendance.
  • Other duties as needed.

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Fab Mechanic - Trim Cut associate to join the team. This position is responsible for This position involves the fabrication of metal tubing both rigid and flexible, for a multitude of operations, by cutting, grinding, forming, de-burring, cleaning, swaging, and polishing according to specifications, for use in hydraulic fuel, pneumatic, waste and exhaust installations. Job Description
  • Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products.
  • Inspect and test, components, parts, tube details, and assemblies to validate conformance to blueprints and instructions by customer and to company operating procedures by performing the following duties.
  • Maintains accurate mylar fixtures.
  • Polishes or prepares assemblies and details to acceptable cosmetic and dimensional requirements. Grinds walls to acceptable limits and specifications. Plans, lay out, fabricate, assembles, install, salvage parts from assemblies and repair rigid and/or flexible tube assemblies, fixtures, equipment, and products by performing the following duties.
  • Sets up and operates abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment such as swager.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, method sheets, process sheets, policies and procedures to manufacture a variety of rigid and flexible metal tubes.
  • Consistently, regular and predictably at work and on time.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
