Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a brand-new facility in Manassas, VA.

You will collaborate with the Shift Operations team, area engineers, and tool vendors to ensure optimal tool performance and safe operations. The role requires 2+ years in maintenance of industrial equipment, mechanical/electronic/PC skills, and a willingness to work 12-hour shifts with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience performing preventative maintenance and repair of industrial machinery
• 2 years of experience using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to fix and resolve manufacturing equipment issues
• Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to address preventative maintenance needs and safety concerns
• Identify performance gaps and implement improvements, detailing hardware and process deviations
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cleanroom and ensure proper storage
• Participate in projects to improve equipment availability and apply improvement initiatives
• Attend Micron or vendor training to enhance understanding of semiconductor tools
