Job summary

Digital Prospectors is seeking an experienced Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to optimize fab processes and collaborate with suppliers and partners. You will plan equipment procurements, drive continuous improvement, and mentor technicians in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering background, 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, and strong communication and project skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Science degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial fields.
• 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with external suppliers, contractors, and partners.
• Experience with capital equipment procurement and capacity planning.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement in fab equipment.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong communication and problem solving.
• CAD and project skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Fab equipment and processes meet throughput, yield, safety, and efficiency goals.
• Develop and document procedures to sustain and evolve equipment performance.
• Identify and implement projects for uptime and output improvements.
• Communicate progress through presentations and reviews.
• Attend operations meetings and provide status and plans.
• Escalate for hard-down equipment and manage recovery communications 24x7.
• Plan and manage capital equipment procurements, installations, and upgrades.
• Train and mentor equipment technicians.
• Handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
