Job summary

Silent Falcon UAS in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, seeks UAS pilots to support FAA research on unmanned aircraft systems. You will conduct safe flight operations, prepare airspace authorizations, and coordinate with FAA and stakeholders.

A Part 107 certificate and 100+ flight hours are required; a related bachelor's degree is preferred. Role involves preflight planning, NOTAMs, and maintaining logs, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Part 107 certificate.
• Minimum of 100 hours operating various UAS platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Unmanned Aircraft Systems or related aviation field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct UAS flight operations in support of FAA research efforts in a safe and responsible manner.
• Submit FAA airspace authorizations, requests for waivers, and other necessary documentation.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Conduct preflight planning including weather assessment, ATC coordination, briefings, and NOTAM issuance.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company SOPs.
• Maintain accurate flight logs and records.
• Perform and document minor maintenance/troubleshooting of UAS equipment.
