Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Research Analyst / UAS Pilot to support FAA Airport Research Division. You will develop flight test plans, train personnel, and test diverse systems while coordinating with manufacturers, regulators and academic partners. On-site at Atlantic City, you will ensure safe integration of UAS into NAS.

Preferred is a Bachelor’s degree; 100+ flight hours and Part 107 are required. Join a team focusing on safe, efficient airport operations and cutting-edge UAS research.

Qualifications

• Education: Not Required
• Required Experience: Must be Part 107 Certified and have 100+ documented hours operating UAS
• Security Clearance Level: FAA Suitability Background
• Required Skills and Abilities: Part 107 Certified
• Preferred Skills: Experience using flight planning software
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in any field
• Location: On-site at the Atlantic City Airport

Responsibilities

• Develop flight test plans and procedures.
• Develop briefing and training materials to support flight operations.
• Plans and performs testing of analog, digital, microwave, optical and mechanical systems under various conditions.
• Apply technical knowledge to integrate UAS into the NAS safely and efficiently.
