Job summary

Honda Aero, LLC in Burlington, NC is seeking an experienced Aviation Quality Inspector to join a FAA-regulated environment. You will inspect jet engines, ensure compliance with Part 43/145 and Part 21 production standards, and clear engines for flight release.

Responsibilities include visual, borescope and dimensional inspections, authorizing release documentation, verifying shop floor data, handling non-conforming components, and supporting root-cause investigations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in aviation/technical field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of Repair Station or aviation production experience, including 2+ years in an inspection role.
• Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 43, 145, and Part 21 regulations.
• Experience using precision measurement tools, borescopes, and ERP/MES software (IFS / Solumina).

Responsibilities

• Perform rigorous visual, borescope, and dimensional inspections of aviation engines and sub-assemblies.
• Authorize formal engine release documentation and customer shipping compliance paperwork.
• Verify shop floor execution against approved design data, engine manuals, and FAA Service Bulletins.
• Coordinate containment, disposition, and logging of suspect or non-conforming aviation components.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions to eliminate assembly defects.
