Job summary

Honda Aero in North Carolina is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure aircraft engine parts and assemblies meet type design and the company’s Quality Management System. You will perform visual inspections, use CMMs, and prepare samples for evaluation in a climate-controlled lab.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least 2 years of aerospace inspection experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with gauges, GD&T, and basic measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years performing inspections in aerospace environment or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to established processes.
• Experience with visual inspection and characterization of surface defects.
• Blueprint reading skills for interpretation of drawings, notes, revisions, GD&T, tolerances and symbols a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform variety of visual inspections, including visual inspection for surface defect of metallic parts, composite parts, and welds, and perforation inspection and light leak inspection of laser drilled holes.
• Operate CMM and other inspection equipment using pre-defined programs and work instructions.
• Prepare test samples for evaluation, including cutting, mounting, and polishing of optical samples and separation of filter debris for SEM analysis.
• Evaluate supplier provided certifications to confirm material acceptability.
• Perform other inspection related tasks, as directed by Quality Management
