Qualifications

• FAA-certified parachute rigger requirement.
• Active SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Document parachute rigging work history.

Responsibilities

• Pack main parachutes into approved systems per OEM recommendations and SOPs.
• Repack an instructor's alternate parachute during active jump cycles to minimize downtime.
• Pack a standard parachute within five minutes and surge pack up to 20 systems in 30 minutes.
• Complete and maintain the Army Parachute Log Record after each pack.
• Perform canopy patching and hand tacking per 14 CFR Part 65; major repairs under supervision.
• Limit to 40 parachute systems packed per rigger per day.
• Pass practical pack interview (three Performance Designs parachutes within 21 minutes).
• Comply with FAA and 14 CFR Part 65, including drug screening and random testing.
• Background check clearances; ability to work independently.
