Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Quality Control/Quality Assurance Inspector to monitor maintenance actions and ensure safety and compliance with manuals and directives. The role involves auditing the maintenance program, conducting final safety-related inspections, and preparing QA reports.

The candidate will review data, assist with procedures, and may serve as SME or trainer as required. Must have FAA A&P license and strong knowledge of QA standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess in-depth knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 (series), ISO 9110 and Company Quality Assurance procedures.
• Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft engines, flight controls, airframe and accessories and applicable maintenance/technical manuals.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate in English and operate the NALCOMIS OOMA database.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contract compliance of all maintenance activities through audit/surveillance per QA Manual.
• Perform final inspections of maintenance actions involving safety of flight or requiring certification by an Aircraft Inspector.
• Investigate safety incidents and assist in Engineering Investigation Requests and related reports.
• Review maintenance forms and deficiency data to identify trends and problem areas.
• Draft and develop work instructions, maintenance instructions and standard procedures.
