Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. in Hagerstown, MD is seeking an Aircraft Inspector to join our aerospace team.

You will verify aircraft, systems, equipment, and components meet FAA regulations and manufacturer specs, helping ensure airworthiness and safety throughout production and maintenance. Responsibilities include in-process inspections, documenting discrepancies, reviewing inspection documentation, and collaborating with technicians, engineering, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Typically 2+ years of aviation inspection experience; a higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
• Active FAA Airframe (A), Powerplant (P), or Repairman Certificate.
• Experience inspecting aircraft, systems, equipment, and components.
• Basic understanding of aviation audit and inspection processes and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment while maintaining quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections of aircraft, systems, equipment, and components per FAA inspection authority.
• Verify compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, engineering requirements, and company quality standards.
• Identify and document discrepancies, defects, or non-conformances affecting airworthiness.
• Ensure work meets inspection criteria before advancing to the next production or maintenance stage.
• Review maintenance and inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineering, and quality teams to resolve findings.
• Support audit readiness by following established inspection processes and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
