Job summary

Northern Air Cargo (NAC) seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform aircraft and engine maintenance in our Anchorage hangar, adhering to FAA regulations and company policies to ensure safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate holds an FAA A&P license, a high school diploma or GED, and 737-300/400 experience is preferred. This on-site role requires lifting up to 70 pounds and working in Alaska’s challenging conditions.

Qualifications

  • Interpret a variety of instructions delivered in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and maintain DOT/FAA qualifications.
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effectively communicate within Maintenance Department and with other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on engines and aircraft components, including periodic service checks, line maintenance, servicing, and dispatch; include component overhaul, repair, disassembly and assembly.
  • Adhere to Company maintenance manuals, manufacturers’ manuals, service bulletins, policies and FAA regulations.
  • Notify Lead Technician/Inspector when inspection is required before task completion.
  • Sign for and be accountable for all work performed.
  • Maintain reliability and punctuality in attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
