Job summary

Synergis in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced F5 Support Engineer to configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP components. You will translate customer requirements into scalable BIG-IP solutions and respond to incidents within SLAs, including after-hours support.

The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team. This is a hybrid, on-site 2–3 days per week opportunity with competitive base salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of application and network technologies and processes.
• Understanding of security policies and industry best practices.
• Strong communication and influence skills to encourage adoption of standards.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet schedules and commitments.
• Ability to negotiate and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP components including virtual servers, pools, certificates, iRules, profiles and health monitors.
• Collaborate with customers to translate requirements into scalable BIG-IP solutions and configurations.
• Respond to incidents within SLAs, including on-call with after-hours support.
• Assist with cross-functional troubleshooting beyond BIG-IP.
• Read packet captures to diagnose issues.
• Configure cloud-based WAF or on-prem F5 APM/ASM policies.
• Routinely audit Big-IP objects and perform cleanup.
• Perform TMOS and F5OS software upgrades and hotfix implementations.
