Job summary

V2X Inc in Ridgecrest, CA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily T&E maintenance of aircraft and equipment for the assigned squadron or facility. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance operations to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

The role requires Navy/DoD supervisory experience and the ability to interface with Government authorities. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or higher in engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, or professional aeronautics.
  • AA/AS with Navy experience (6+ years) or high school with Navy experience (8+ years).
  • Extensive aircraft maintenance and material support background; 10+ years with 8 of last 10 in supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily supervision and operations of maintenance of aircraft and equipment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and regulate maintenance department operations per policy and contract.
  • Communicate with Government authorities and contractor personnel to define and execute requirements.

Responsibilities

The maintenance supervisor provides daily supervision and oversight of all T&E functional and operational activities in maintenance of aircraft and equipment at the assigned squadron, facility, task level. Plans, coordinates, administers and regulates the operations of the maintenance departments per policy and instruction. Defines and assigns responsibilities, functions, and operations and ensures full and effective employment and compliance of assigned personnel. Implements policies, practices, and generates revisions to existing policies and practices as required to meet company and contract requirements. Recognizes, communicates and pursues changes in contract scope and/ or workload requirements. Communicates directly with the Government authorities and contractor management and contractor personnel to define and execute requirements. May include production reports, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. Task may include writing production reports, maintaining files, compiling production sheets, preparing written work schedules, compiling material inventory records and preparing requisitions. May compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records for payroll.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines: engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, and professional aeronautics with 3 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements or, AA/AS from an accredited college or university with 6 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements or, High school graduate or equivalent. With 8 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements.
  • Possess an extensive background in the field of aircraft maintenance and material support with a minimum of 10 years of experience with 8 years of the last 10 years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification in a supervisory role.
  • Relevant experience on the F-18 is required.
  • Must have experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Internet, personal computers, word processing, spreadsheet and graphics/presentation software, and other commonly used electronic communication tools.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security Clearance.
  • Must be available to work any shift.

Salary $115,000 to $120,000 Annually - $5000 Sign on Bonus for External Candidates
