Responsibilities
- Instructs pilots in ground and flight procedures and techniques; prepares lesson plans.
- Acts as SME by applying advanced technical concepts in aviation and aiding in creation of training material.
- Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records, and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student.
- Evaluates and monitors students' performance.
- Conducts a Qualified Weapons Instructor course utilizing provided courseware, manuals, technical orders, etc.
- Provides academic training and instruction using Full Mission Simulators (FMS) and operates Instructor Operating Stations (IOS).
- SME for all pilot training courseware updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Former F-16 Weapon School graduate.
- Demonstrated 1000 hours minimum F-16 flight experience.
- Demonstrated 1500 hours Fighter Flight Time in forth and/or fifth generation multi-role fighter aircraft.
- Regular travel to various work sites throughout the country may be required.
- Current or demonstrated experience as a USAF IP with multi-role fighter experience.
- Valid state\'s driver\'s license.
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check.
- An active current DoD Secret clearance; the Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Foreign Language/Cultural experiences.
- Previous experience in the CENTCOM AOR.
- Experience as an UPT/FTU instructor.
- F-16C Block 50 desired.
Work Authorization
Must be lawfully eligible to work OCONUS and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.

- Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including marijuana) required.
- Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications required.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
- Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
- Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.
- Occasional travel to various work sites may be required.
