Job summary

Multnomah Athletic Club is hiring a part-time 1891 Support Lead for our Food & Beverage Team in Portland, OR. You will assist servers, train and manage support staff to ensure proper service and member satisfaction across four restaurants.

Responsibilities include training, scheduling, and maintaining clean, well-stocked stations while upholding safety policies and professional interactions with members and guests.

Qualifications

• Valid food handlers permit.
• Knowledge of proper etiquette for removing dishes and utensils from tables.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer/guest service.
• Ability to interact with members and guests professionally.
• Ability to memorize menu items with at least three ingredients and their preparation methods.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily shift meetings with punctual attendance.
• Describe menu items with at least three ingredients and preparation method.
• Deliver water to guests within one minute of arrival.
• Clear unneeded glassware and dishes within two minutes of guests finishing.
• Clear and reset vacated tables within five minutes of guests leaving.
• On each trip into a section, carry a tray and engage with all tables, completing at least three tasks.
• Provide additional help to servers and assist with cleaning projects.
• Keep service stations clean, organized, and well stocked; bus dishes to dishwasher to prevent overfilling bus tubs.
• Maintain and properly handle restaurant equipment and supplies to minimize wear and waste.
• Maintain side station cleanliness and stock; distribute wares in glass racks and tubs.
• Follow Club safety policies; report hazards and injuries promptly.
• Schedule support staff based on performance metrics.
• Train new and existing support staff on new systems.
• Build and maintain training program for support staff.
• Assist in hiring new support staff.
