Job summary

Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead a fast-paced venue at Palisades Tahoe. You will coach Front of House staff to deliver hospitality, anticipate guest needs, and maintain high standards for service, safety, and quality.

The role emphasizes engaged leadership, teamwork, and a guest-centered approach to create memorable mountain experiences for every guest.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; three years experience in F&B operations.
  • Two years supervisory experience in a resort/food & beverage setting.
  • Strong communication and guest-service orientation are essential.

Job Summary

The Food & Beverage Supervisor provides hands‑on leadership for the daily operation of a fast‑paced venue at Palisades Tahoe. This role leads by example, coaching Front of House employees to deliver genuine hospitality, anticipate guest needs, and create memorable mountain experiences. The Supervisor supports a positive team culture while maintaining high standards for service, product quality, cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. Through engaged leadership and authentic hospitality, this position helps bring the spirit of Palisades Tahoe to life for every guest.


Compensation

Hourly: The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short‑term and long‑term incentives and many region‑specific benefits.


Base hourly pay range: $22- $32.14 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks

  • Assist in leading and supervising the Food & Beverage team, providing visible, hands‑on leadership during daily operations and supporting a positive, professional, and team‑oriented work environment.

  • Ensure Daily Readiness: Ensure the venue and surrounding guest areas are clean, safe, organized, and ready for daily operations, including snow and ice removal, restroom readiness, table and seating setup, ski rack organization, signage, and other guest‑facing areas.

  • Coordinate with the team and appropriate departments to address readiness issues before and throughout service.

  • Support employee experience, training, and performance management, including assigning and directing work, providing coaching and feedback, recognizing strong performance, addressing performance concerns, and resolving employee issues.

  • Create a culture of hospitality and exceptional guest service by modeling welcoming, attentive, and professional interactions and coaching employees to anticipate guest needs and consistently deliver a positive experience.

  • Support daily FOH operations, including daily assignments, breaks, staff deployment, POS procedures, and coordination between Front of House and Back of House teams.

  • Monitor guest experience, product quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and overall operational performance.

  • Identify trends or service issues and in conjunction with the Venue manager take appropriate action to improve efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction.

  • Support guest recovery and problem resolution, assisting employees with guest questions, requests, concerns, and complaints and empowering the team to resolve issues appropriately.

  • Maintain safe, clean, organized, and guest‑ready Food & Beverage facilities while ensuring compliance with company safety standards and applicable health, sanitation, food safety, and responsible alcohol‑service requirements.

  • Support menu and service execution, communicating menu offerings, specials, operational changes, and service expectations to employees while partnering with culinary leadership to ensure consistent execution and presentation.

  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures and applicable Federal and California employment requirements, including scheduling, timekeeping, meal and rest periods, payroll practices, workplace safety, and employee documentation.

  • Train and develop employees in established procedures and service standards, identifying opportunities to improve workflows, productivity, communication, and consistency across the operation.

  • Lead by example and actively participate in daily operations, performing FOH duties and assisting team members as business levels require while maintaining overall awareness of the operation and guest experience.

  • Inventory & Ordering: Assist with inventory management and product ordering, including monitoring par levels, completing inventory counts, receiving and organizing deliveries, and maintaining appropriate product levels to support daily operations while minimizing waste.

  • Timekeeping: Help monitor and maintain accurate employee timekeeping, including reviewing punches, meal and rest periods, and timecard corrections to support accurate payroll and compliance with Company policies and applicable California labor requirements.


Competencies and Job Requirements


  • Must have Food Handlers, AllerTrain and RBS training and certification withing 7 days of employment

  • Effective communication skills, oral & written

  • Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards

  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time

Working Conditions

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee will frequently be exposed to extreme cold, wetness and/or humidity, and occasionally blizzards and extreme storm conditions. Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually loud. Occasional exposure to fumes, odors, and gases. Occasional exposure to dusts, mists and poor ventilation. Constant exposure to potential mechanical, electrical, burns and radiant energy hazards. Occasional exposure to toxic, caustic chemical hazards.

Education and Experience

Required: High School Diploma or GED Three years experience in F&B operations, as well as knowledge of service standards, experience in a resort facility, high volume production operation related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Two years supervisory experience. Preferred Bachelor's Degree A Motor Vehicle Record review may be required as part of your job.
