Schulte Hospitality Group in Tampa, FL is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Bar Supervisor to join our team. SHG is a leading hospitality company with a strong service culture and a commitment to taking care of our guests and associates.

The Bar Supervisor will lead bar staff, ensure service standards, and uphold safety and regulatory requirements while delivering an engaging guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• At least 2 years in restaurant/bar leadership.
• Bartending certification preferred.
• Alcohol awareness certification preferred.
• Knowledge of local alcohol serving practices and standards.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health and sanitation laws.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains, monitors and coaches bar staff
• Directs and assigns bar employees as needed to ensure all aspects of service meet operational standards
• Performs bar opening and/or closing duties
• Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times
• Immediately and respectfully resolves guest requests
• Perform various other duties as assigned

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises, trains, monitors and coaches bar staff

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of High School education

Minimum of two (2) years in restaurant/bar experience leading shifts without supervision

Certification in bartending preferred

Alcohol awareness certification preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to communicate effectively verbally

Team player

Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members

Ability to multi-task

Ability to work flexible hours and shifts

Knowledge of local alcohol serving practices and standards

Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
