Job summary

Loews Hotels & Co, headquartered in New York, operates Live! by Loews in Arlington, TX, and is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor.

You will inspect rounds, monitor service standards, and assist the Team Leader with staff and side-work tasks while ensuring accurate bank balances and inventory accuracy. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a focus on hospitality excellence and guest satisfaction in a premium hotel

Qualifications

• Food & Beverage knowledge required.
• Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
• High school diploma.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Able to make decisions on imperfect information.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make inspection rounds ensuring organization, cleanliness, proper maintenance and adequate supplies.
• Monitor staff adherence to service standards, SOPs and Loews SOPs.
• Supervise service of guests and assist Team Leader to establish and monitor side work duty completion.
• Maintain bank to SOP, balanced and secure at all times.
• Read daily communication sheets and prepare for the following shift.
• Communicate daily with restaurant manager on events and house counts.
• Assist Team Leader in menu classes, taste panels, and inventory counts.
• Intercede and/or fill in for team members as needed.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; maintain excellent organization.

Job Specifics

• Make inspection rounds ensuring organization, cleanliness, proper maintenance, adequate supplies Monitor staff adherence to all service standards, SOPs and Loews SOPs, including inspecting staff for correct Uniform/Groom standards Supervise service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service Assist Team Leader to establish and monitor side work duty completion.
• Maintain bank to SOP, keep it balanced and secure at all times.
• Read daily communication sheets from previous shift and prepare one for the following shift.
• Check for all personnel call offs and check floor plan for coverage Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up (i.e. table cleanliness, stands etc.) Communicate daily with restaurant manager with regard to special events, house counts, etc. Assist Team Leader in conducting menu classes and taste panels Assist Team Leader in conducting month end inventory count and recording.
• Communicates with Team Members during service, scheduling, safety chats, MSDS, post bulletins Reports unsafe working conditions Ensure proper handling of guest checks and cash transactions Intercedes and/or fills in for Team Members should need occur Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point Excellent organizational skills
