Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Hospitality Operations Specialist in the United States to own food and beverage strategy for a dedicated account, from menus to banquet event orders, onsite execution and final reconciliation.

You will lead onsite execution across general sessions, breaks, and receptions, manage dietary needs, negotiate terms with venues, and ensure contracts are followed. Five+ years of large corporate event F&B experience and CMP/CPCE credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Five or more years managing food and beverage for large corporate meetings and events.
• Fluency with banquet event orders, guarantees, attrition clauses, service charges, and how contracts bill.
• Experience owning a food and beverage budget line and reconciling it at program close.
• Comfort negotiating with venue catering, convention services, and contract terms.
• Experience contributing to venue sourcing, RFP responses, or proposal cost models.

Responsibilities

• Own the food and beverage plan for every assigned program, with menus and budget aligned to objectives and audience.
• Serve as primary point of contact for hotel and venue catering teams; approve banquet event orders and hold venues to terms.
• Manage dietary, allergen, and accessibility requirements across all functions.
• Track guarantees, attrition, and consumption; surface financial exposure before charges.
• Lead onsite food and beverage execution across sessions, receptions, and hospitality functions.
• Support sourcing from RFP through contract handoff; own catering terms in contracts.
• Contribute F&B content and cost models to new business proposals with the team.
• Lead operations projects from brief to delivery, including peak windows.
• Maintain F&B standards and milestone alignment with coordinators and team leads.
