Description

Purpose of the position:

The F&B Lodge Manager is part of the team responsible for overseeing and managing all restaurant and lodging operations at Arizona Snowbowl. This position will ensure the highest quality guest experience while elevating restaurant profitability and sustainability. Helps to manage all functional areas of the restaurants including staffing, quality of service, restaurant and kitchen staffing. The F&B Manager will primarily focus on the success of the Agassiz Lodge but is willing and able to help in other areas and lodges as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

Essential Functions:

  • The F&B Lodge Manager is responsible for the hiring and training of all Agassiz Lodge food and beverage employees and ensures each employee is trained in and understands resort standards as it applies to their position.
  • Involved in development of employees which may include; hiring, training, coaching, counseling and doing performance reviews.
  • Works closely with other F&B Managers to ensure that all winter employees are being trained on the same policies and FB operations. Ensures a standard level of quality of food, lodge set up and conditions and staff knowledge throughout the department.
  • This position manages and evaluates staff performance; ensures proper staffing levels according to seasonality and guest or group needs.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures to increase guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Performing daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and resort standards.
  • Fosters an environment of inclusiveness and teamwork by providing motivational support to team members.

Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements:

  • Coconino County Food Handlers Certification and the ability to obtain a Food Handlers Manager Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Liquor License Certification and the ability to obtain a Liquor License Manager Certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred but not required

Experience Requirements:

  • Two years of supervisory or management experience in a high paced restaurant environment
  • FOH restaurant experienced required
  • BOH restaurant preferred but not required

  • Must be proficient with automated Point of Sale (POS) systems and Google products (Sheets, Mail, Docs, etc)
  • Must possess the ability to successfully lead employees using effective performance management techniques.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for several hours at a time.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to bend and twist without assistance.

Work Environment:

  • As a seasonal resort this work environment is high volume and fast paced. It is required that managers work holidays and weekends during the resort's busy season.
