Job summary

Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager in Pinecrest, CA. This role supports the F&B Manager in daily operations, menu planning, inventory control, staff scheduling, and delivering excellent guest service across all venues, including weddings and events.

The position requires 3+ years in food service, supervisory experience, and California Food Handlers Card with RBS certification. Proficiency in Toast POS and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 3 years food service and guest service experience required.
• Obtain and maintain a valid California Food Handlers Card and RBS certification.
• Prior supervisory and management experience required.
• Familiarity with state health codes and work place safety standards.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and meet Fleet Safety Program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with the daily F&B operations including opening/closing procedures, front line operations, customer service, merchandising and presentation.
• Demonstrate commitment to delivering excellent customer service with courteous guest interactions.
• Assist with hiring, motivating, evaluating and directing staff to meet departmental goals and budgets.
• Maintain scheduling tool and ensure adequate staff for varying business levels and budget guidelines.
• Lead department risk management and document weekly meetings and safety notes.
• Comply with health and safety standards and current regulatory requirements with Health Department, OSHA, and Alcohol Board.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper storage of kitchen and food service equipment.
• Interpret toast reports to forecast product usage and manage waste and daily pull lists.
• Understand menu items for all venues and assist back of house with food prep; keep front line stocked.
• Communicate problems to F&B Manager and handle routine matters with initiative.
• Cover Manager/Supervisor roles when absent and promote teamwork across departments.
