Job summary

Milwaukee Rep is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to lead front-of-house staff and support the Director of Food & Beverage in daily operations, policies, and programs. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, staff retention, and a positive work environment.

You will supervise team members, manage beverage and supply orders, handle cash and closing reports, and ensure smooth service with the POS system.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant supervision experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• ServSafe Food Manager certification or ability to obtain within 45 days (exam cost covered).
• Bartender’s license or ability to obtain within 45 days (exam cost covered).
• Strong verbal and written communication; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members and foster open, collaborative relationships with a spirit of teamwork and high customer service.
• Serve as a role model and demonstrate appropriate behaviors for guest relations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of a service-oriented culture.
• Perform other FOH positions as needed.
• Assist with beverage and supply ordering.
• Display calm under pressure.
• Multi-task and provide clear direction.
• Maintain high organizational standards.
• Cash handling and end-of-day closing reports.
• Operate and troubleshoot the POS system.
• Control floor and staff to meet opening/closing times.
• Monitor bartenders and guests for overserving.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, stocking and inventory.
• Assist with administrative duties; act as Manager when Director is absent.
• Uphold organizational standards at all times.
