Job summary

Boeing is seeking an experienced F/A-18 Maintenance Manager to lead O-level maintenance, repair, and readiness for Kuwaiti aircraft at JRB New Orleans, LA. This hands-on leadership role directs daily maintenance operations, manages skilled personnel, and ensures safety, quality, and readiness standards are met to keep aircraft mission-ready.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a leadership role (team lead, temp manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management) or formal manager experience.
• Experience prioritizing maintenance to maintain aircraft mission-capable (MC) rates during surge operations.
• 3+ years planning and scheduling maintenance to meet demanding sortie schedules.
• Experience leading or managing large or complex teams of managers and/or non-management employees.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily O-level maintenance operations, preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs to meet mission requirements.
• Direct operational support to flight operations, ensuring aircraft are mission-ready for daily schedules.
• Forecast maintenance demand using utilization, flight hours, and trends; adjust schedules to optimize availability.
• Coordinate flow of materials, tooling, support equipment, and personnel to sustain continuous operations.
• Manage manpower planning, performance management, and skill development within the maintenance department.
• Establish metrics, accountability systems, and data-driven reviews to drive continuous improvement.
