Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, F-35 Sustainment Operating Unit, is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Field Engineer to be assigned as an F-35 Air Vehicle Field Support Engineer (FSE) at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

The successful candidate will act as the on-site technical interface and customer representative to resolve issues arising from operations, maintenance and logistics. The role requires strong troubleshooting, engineering analysis, and the ability to train customers, vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years in military aircraft maintenance; Master’s with 3 years or PhD acceptable.
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP clearance.
• F-35 or F-22 experience including cockpit operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site Northrop Grumman representative to the customer resolving maintenance issues.
• Troubleshoot and analyze aircraft subsystems and recommend solutions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fault isolation data.
• Conduct technical training and briefings for customers and vendors.
• Coordinate deployments and support flight readiness and logistics.
