Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Associate Manager to lead the ICS maintenance team supporting F‑35 operations at Ghedi Air Base, Italy. This role interfaces with Italian Air Force squadrons on maintenance priorities and production matters.

The incumbent directs maintenance activities, personnel actions, and QA. Strong leadership is required to manage on-the-ground operations and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including TDYs and SOFA

Responsibilities

• Directs the IC maintenance team in alignment with daily maintenance objectives and interfaces with Italian Air Force leadership.
• Oversees all IC activities including on-the-job training and touch-labor efforts for the customer’s maintenance organization.
• Manages personnel actions (recruitment, training, evaluations, assignments, salary decisions, recognition/discipline).
• Directs inspections, repairs and modifications; reviews manufacturer manuals to assess repair feasibility; guides hourly workforce per policy.
• Oversees QA reporting for maintenance standards and conducts root cause analysis to establish corrective actions.
• Ensures compliance with contracted customer support obligations and supports TDYs including travel to hazardous locations; may work weekends.
