Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced flight line mechanic for Edwards AFB, CA. You will perform final aircraft prep, diagnose and repair malfunctions, and ensure post-flight/test readiness on F-22 systems, using precision tools and test equipment.

The role requires operating along a flight line, complying with maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical orders, and handling hydraulic and structural repairs with accuracy and security clearance as applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience with Launch, recover, pre-flight/post-flight inspection, refuel/defuel, hydraulic/oil/nitrogen servicing on fighter aircraft.
• Experience working with Electrical System Ground Handling and Test Equipment.
• Experience working with blueprints, diagrams, sketches, service bulletins, maintenance manuals and technical orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform final preparation of aircraft and diagnose, repair, and rework malfunctions disclosed during preflight, flight, and test operations.
• Make complete final operational checks, rework, repair, adjust, and service of military aircraft.
• Use mechanic's hand tools, precision measuring instruments and special test equipment.
• Perform structural repair including drilling, reaming, riveting, and removing stuck/broken fasteners.
• Inspect Aerospace Ground Equipment and use for ground operations such as towing and jacking.
