Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Edwards AFB, CA is seeking a Field and Service Mechanic to sustain 5th‑Generation aircraft readiness and perform weapons loading operations on the F-35 fleet. The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, adherence to safety directives, and certification maintenance.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing components, loading munitions, and operating specialized ground equipment. Must be a U.S. citizen with an active interim secret clearance to start.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on maintenance experience in USAF/related discipline or equivalent commercial experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting Aircraft Technical Data Instructions.
• Experience with Tool Control, FOD, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.
• Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms Documentation, Technical Data.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sustainment and weapons loading operations for 5th‑Generation aircraft.
• Inspect, service, repair, overhaul, modify, and fabricate aircraft components to ensure airworthiness.
• Load and secure precision-guided munitions and related equipment.
• Operate ground equipment and enforce Technical Orders and safety directives.
• Maintain weapons certification and complete required load training.
