Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) design engineer to join the Pilot Systems Engineering group for the F-16 program, with opportunities to support 5th Generation and Advanced Development Programs.

You will collaborate with pilots, engineers and simulation technicians to design, implement and document PVI mechanisms, publish Pilot’s Guides and contribute to design reviews, flight tests and system deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience flying the F-16.
• Demonstrated aviation/technology development or test experience.

Responsibilities

• Research and design of PVI mechanizations and pilot/human engineering for tactical cockpits.
• Provide pilot SME support in design reviews, system test and flight test reviews, and customer/program support for aircraft capabilities and PVI.
• Work with pilots, engineers and simulation technicians to design, implement, evaluate and document PVI mechanizations; author Pilot’s Guides and other contract deliverables.
