Job summary

AAR at Homestead Air Reserve Base in Florida seeks an F-16 Avionics or Electrical / Environmental Technician III to perform depot-level modification, upgrade, and test of aircraft sub-systems such as radar, radio, navigation, and power systems. You will inspect, test, and repair components and document all results to ensure airworthiness.

Qualifications include a degree path with years of related experience or HS diploma with extensive avionics maintenance experience, preferring F-16 exposure.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following requirements: degree path options with related experience.
• F-16 experience preferred; other fighter jet experience may be considered.
• Minimum 7 Skill Level or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance is required.
• Strong avionics or electro-environmental maintenance background desired.

Responsibilities

• Modify, upgrade, inspect, test, and repair avionic and electrical systems such as radar and power systems.
• Inspect components for defects and verify correct assembly and installation.
• Test systems under simulated or real conditions to ensure airworthiness.
• Calibrate and adjust systems per blueprints and manuals when required.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses as needed and document results accurately.
• Interact with program and customer representatives and on-site staff.
