This is a one-year fixed-term opportunity with the exciting potential to become a permanent position, based on performance and school needs.

Are you passionate about giving children the very best start in their learning journey? Do you believe in the magic of early years education? At Belton All Saints Church of England Primary School, we are on the lookout for a warm, enthusiastic, and creative EYFS teacher to join our nurturing team.

Who We Are

At Belton All Saints, we’re more than just a school—we’re a family. Rooted in Christian values, we are deeply committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every child. Our strong safeguarding culture underpins everything we do, and we work tirelessly to ensure every pupil is valued, and able to flourish. Situated in a village setting, we are proud of our community spirit, high expectations, and nurturing ethos.

About the Role

We are looking for an inspirational, ambitious teacher with a proven track record of raising standards who can contribute to excellence in teaching, learning, and the EYFS curriculum.

As our EYFS teacher, you will play a central role in shaping our youngest learners’ early experiences of school life. You’ll have the freedom to be creative, the support to grow, and the opportunity to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

As our EYFS teacher, you will play a vital role in laying the foundations for a lifelong love of learning. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that inspires curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child.
  • Planning and delivering rich, developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework and responsive to each child’s individual needs and interests.
  • Observing, assessing, and tracking children’s progress to ensure they are supported, challenged, and celebrated as they reach their full potential.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with families, carers, and external agencies to promote each child’s learning, wellbeing, and safety.
  • Actively contributing to a collaborative and supportive staff culture, engaging in whole-school initiatives, events, and continuous professional development.
  • Embodying and promoting the Christian values and ethos of our school, while placing safeguarding at the core of your everyday practice.
  • Leading a subject or curriculum area across the school, sharing your passion and expertise to support high-quality teaching and learning throughout the wider team.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher (QTS), with experience in EYFS
  • Is an outstanding teacher with a focus on achieving excellent pupil attainment
  • Has a deep understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
  • Brings energy, creativity, and passion to the classroom.
  • Has a thorough understanding and a strong working knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
  • Is warm, approachable, and a natural communicator who builds strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Believes every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and inspired
  • Is a reflective practitioner, always looking to learn and improve
  • Will embrace and contribute to the caring, inclusive Christian ethos of our school.

If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, please contact our School Business manager, on 01427 872391 to arrange a visit—we’d be delighted to show you around. This post is not suitable for ECTs. Be part of something special at our school.

As an employer, we promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect the same commitment from existing and prospective employees or volunteers. Recruitment to this post will follow our safer recruitment procedure which includes us requesting references prior to interview and a DBS check.
