Job summary

Yew Tree Primary School, part of Victorious Academies Trust, is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the EYFS Nursery.

You will work under guidance of teaching staff to support learning and manage classroom activities, enabling access to education for all pupils.

This maternity-cover post is 32.5 hours per week, term time only, starting mid-November 2026 with a view to continue if possible.

Qualifications

• Able to support learning under supervision and adapt to pupil needs.
• Experience assisting teachers in early years settings is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Work under guidance of teaching staff to undertake work/care/support programmes.
• Assist in managing pupils and the classroom to enable access to learning.
• Support delivery of activities in classroom or EYFS settings.
