Job summary

Remedy Education are currently recruiting for a caring and dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Enfield from September 2026.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs, including SEN such as ASD, speech and language needs, helping develop early learning skills through phonics, numeracy and play-based activities in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with EYFS pupils or early years settings.
• Experience supporting children with SEN.
• Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to use initiative and adapt to individual pupils' needs.
• Passion for early childhood development.
• Experience with phonics programmes and early years frameworks is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.

• Assist with early learning activities including phonics, numeracy and play-based learning.
• Help create a safe, engaging and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support children's social, emotional and behavioural development.

Pay: £95 - £115 per day
Start: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, term time only

The Role

As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs

Support children with SEN such as ASD, speech & language needs and developmental delays

Assist with early learning activities including phonics, numeracy and play-based learning

Help create a safe, engaging and stimulating classroom environment

Support children with their social, emotional and behavioural development

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with EYFS pupils or early years settings

Has experience supporting children with SEN

Is patient, nurturing and enthusiastic

Has strong communication and behaviour management skills

Has a genuine passion for early childhood development

Experience with phonics programmes and early years frameworks is highly desirable.
