Allina Health is seeking an experienced Optician for 1.0 FTE at the Bandana Square Clinic in Saint Paul, MN. You will conduct fitting, ordering, adjusting, and minor repairs of eyewear, coordinating care from prescription through to dispensing with labs and vendors.

The role emphasizes customer service, eyewear measurements, and teaching contact lens handling. It requires 2+ years of optician experience and certification preferred; includes day/evening shifts and potential benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years optician experience.
• Knowledge of complete eye exam tests and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Customer service and coordination.
• Maintains customer and vendor schedules.
• Answers calls, questions and concerns from customers and suppliers.
• Assists patients with eyewear returns and minor adjustments.
• Performs eyewear measurements and completes the prescription order.
• Assists in teaching contact lens insertion, removal & care.
• Places orders for contact lenses, as per doctors prescription.
• Receives contact lenses and call patients letting them know of product arrival.
• Ensures trial contact lens supplies are monitored and maintained.
• Collects retail payments and daily reconciliation.
• Orders supplies and frames to maintain optical shop inventory.
