Job summary

Sam's Club in Edison, NJ is seeking an Optical Associate to maintain the Optical area, assist members with eyewear purchases, and process orders with accuracy. You will measure pupillary distance, verify prescriptions, and perform final inspections of eyewear prior to dispensing.

This role supports OD services and handles payments and refunds as needed. Expect responsibilities across inventory, equipment calibration, and patient appointments under guidance of optometrists or contracted

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• State licensure/apprentice requirements as applicable by state law.

Responsibilities

• Stock, sign and price merchandise in the Optical area, handle claims and returns per policy.
• Assist members with eyewear purchases, measurements, and lens fitting, and process eyewear orders.
• Process payments and manage POS transactions for doctor/telehealth services where applicable.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and assist in scheduling and pre-testing as needed.
