Job summary

Chrome Hearts seeks an Eyewear Material Planner to coordinate planning, ordering, tracking, and delivery of raw materials and components for eyewear development and production. You’ll work with Development, Purchasing, and Production to ensure materials align with timelines and specifications.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, review BOMs, monitor lead times, and help mitigate supply risks while supporting continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in material planning, production planning, purchasing coordination, product development, or related field.
• Experience in eyewear, accessories, apparel, footwear, jewelry, or physical-product manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Working knowledge of BOMs, inventory, purchase orders, material lead times, and production schedules.
• Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets; ERP/MRP experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to identify material issues early and communicate risks.
• Willingness to develop understanding of eyewear construction and manufacturing processes.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, order, and track raw materials and components for eyewear frame orders (plastic/acetate, lenses, hinges, screws, etc.).
• Review material requirements and inventory for samples, first production orders, and reorders.
• Prepare material requirements for Purchasing and support PO process.
• Monitor material orders and follow up with Purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and specs.
• Collaborate with Development on material selections for new eyewear styles and collections.
• Ensure BOMs are accurate and flag missing or inconsistent material requirements.
• Troubleshoot material issues and coordinate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor lead times and identify shortages, delays, and supply risks.
• Follow development calendars to order materials within required lead times.
• Maintain material planning and inventory in applicable systems.
• Communicate material availability and order status to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of material planning processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
