Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Lab Technician to create eyewear of exceptional value by following the Quality Manufacturing Program and delivering fast, accurate service to customers.

The role emphasizes precision in lens selection, blocking, edging and finishing, while upholding safety standards, training in QMP, and maintaining a clean lab environment. Excellent customer service and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality eyewear following the Quality Manufacturing Program and related steps such as selecting lenses, marking, blocking, edging, tinting, coatings, inspection and final checks.
• Maintains and cleans lab tools and equipment per QMP and assists in diagnosing equipment issues.
• Continually expands technical knowledge through the Quality Manufacturing Program and applies it to eyewear production.
• Handles multiple tasks with accuracy under time pressure and customer volume.
• Uses product knowledge to determine best manufacturing process for routine and special orders to ensure top-quality eyewear and delivery.
• Maintains attention to detail in measurements, calculations, equipment settings and defect detection.
• Notes discrepancies, suggests improvements and works to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Reviews Accufit and diagnoses vision care needs; inputs lab statistics at POS with accuracy.
• Keeps lab and stock room clean, organized, and safe; supports safety and regulatory requirements.
