Job summary

Valley Health Care, Inc. seeks an Optician to assist patients with selecting eyewear, interpreting prescriptions, and ensuring accurate measurements for vision correction.

You will educate patients on eyewear care and coordinate with optometrists to meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include handling orders, processing insurance, maintaining patient records, and collaborating with clinicians to address fit issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or completion of opticianry training program.
• Opticianry training program, apprenticeship, or associate degree in opticianry preferred.
• Experience interpreting optical prescriptions and hands-on eyewear fitting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Take precise measurements (PD, seg height, bridge fit) and ensure accurate lens fitting.
• Process orders, verify prescriptions, and perform quality checks on finished eyewear.
