Job summary

Tura, Inc. in Manhattan is seeking a Designer/ Product Developer to lead the development of ophthalmic and sun frame collections, guiding concepts from initial idea to final product.

Based at the New York HQ, the role collaborates with brand teams, marketing, and suppliers; requires strong sourcing experience in China and the ability to translate fashion trends into market-ready eyewear.

Qualifications

• Sourcing experience in China.
• Strong design sensibility and understanding of fashion trends.
• Experience with better/premium level product.
• Experience developing a concept from scratch, including the design of the product.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development of ophthalmic/sun frame collections.
• Develop Specialty Optical, Diffusion Brand collections.
• Create New Pitches for Key Accounts.
• Design and develop products from scratch meeting brand objectives, licensor direction, and market needs.
• Serve as primary sourcing contact with suppliers.
• Price new models and analyze sales results to guide next collection.
• Collaborate with marketing to deliver on-message products for each brand.
• Data entry and maintenance for models to purchase.
• Develop Product Training documents for key accounts and sales teams.
• Support in events including tradeshows and press events; lift up to 30lbs.
