Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Part-Time Optical Sales Associate at South Gate Optometry to provide outstanding patient experiences when selecting eyewear and related products. This role emphasizes service quality, product knowledge, and precise eyewear fitting within our TeamVision practice.

You will greet patients, assess needs, and guide them through available eye care services while maintaining accurate POS transactions and inventory presentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong basic math skills

• Familiarity with technology such as POS systems or patient records

Responsibilities

• Greets all patients with a warm welcome and provides urgent service
• Explores patient needs and links to practice offerings (eye exam)
• Asks clarifying questions and consults with Optician as needed
• Demonstrates product knowledge; describes features and benefits
• Anticipates problems and develops long-term solutions
• Multitasks and prioritizes with competing priorities
• Custom fits glasses and places prescriptions in lenses
• Manages pickup timing, requests feedback, and thanks patients
• Aims for exceptional results on goals and competencies
• Operates POS, processes sales transactions when required
• Presents and educates at product pickup
• Maintains displays and inventory, secures company assets
• Informs management of safety opportunities
• Adheres to attendance and timekeeping
• Follows all company policies
• Sell on your feet 80-100% of the time
• Maintains proper dress code
• Performs other duties as assigned by Practice Manager
